Take it from a rather experienced programmer who has tried to learn to crack: It is NOT easy.
It's not impossible however. Apart from the few programs that will allow you around certain protections and generate and exe for you, it's going to take some time to learn. Learn Hexadecimal, learn binary, learn assembler, learn C++, and get softICE. There's lots of good guides out there if you're willing to find them. Keep in mind that I'm a C++ programmer and haven't ever cracked a thing in my life (haven't had enough time to sit down and learn assembler very well). I'm going off of guides I've seen or read.
