I own the CDs of The Sims (Sims + Expansions(x7)) and had to install them again a few days ago after a "format c:" (thats the 5th time I'm doing it; sisters
). I saw a copy in the net for downloading called "The Sims 8 in 1", and think that's a good idea because I'm fed up of inserting the CDs 1000 times to install the whole game again (and I dont want to download nearly 2 GB already having the game...)
Could you help me doing a "merge" of the expansions in a way I can install the game easily?
I read something about Slipstreaming SP2. I'm aiming for something like that for the Sims.
I'm very new at these things, so I would like to learn how to deal with game installations (file copying?, cab-files?, registry updating?...) so I'm reading every tutorial (in english, german or spanish) you could link me to concerning this topic (no matter if it's from another game if I'm going to learn something I could use for making my Sims-merge).
