Well lufcfan, looks like you did have a good batch of the Ritek G04 media, I bought mine from ebay (4x Ritek Printable) and they sucks.
Lots of people has complain of the quality of Ritek Media varies too much, so it's really a matter of luck when it comes to Ritek media (not particularly only at G04). You might like to head over
