Hey guys i finally got my chip installed and its running perfect. I have avalaunch and evolution X dashboards both burned to a dvd and they boot up fine. My problem now is trying to get my computer and Xbox networked together...
In both dashboards i set it to "Static IP" and use the IP addy of 192.168.0.2 and the subnet to 255.255.255.0 On my computer i set my IP config to 192.168.0.1 and subnet to the same as above. No matter what i try it wont connect to the xbox though. I have tried cuteftp and flashfxp and neither can make the connection. I use xbox:xbox as the user
assword and port 21. I have also tried to set my gateway on my computer to the same as the xbox (i.e 192.168.100.1) and that doesnt help out anything either (i dont know if that part is actually neccessary)
What gets me is that when i plug in my internet connection to the xbox the green led on the port lights up (on the xbox ethernet adapter) but when i plug in the cat5 crossover cable (from my computer) there is no light...is this normal? IF there is no light doesnt that mean there is no connection right?
Anyways please steer me in the right direction to get this to work. I have read all the forums and help files and it all seems so easy but i dont get why it wont work for me. Thanks for the help
