Well, use record now max. Don't make an xiso either, whenever I did, the xbox never read it.
When you start record now max, make a "data disk". Click Edit, then choose recordning options.
If you use a CD/rw, make sure the recording type is set to "track at once - Closed". Then set the "file system" type to "UDF with Juliet", not that "Microsoft with juliet". If you use a dvd, make sure the is also "closed". After you burn it to a cd-rw, it should be fine.
Now, your xbox frags when the chip is disabled? Hmm, that is very odd. If the chip works, then all the points should be fine. I rescently got an x2 that would frag sometimes as well. But that was do to the black cord that connects to the chip switch. The only way to find out is to disable the chip completely and see if it frags still. I'm not sure what the problem is.
If all fails, you might be able to just flash the other bank with a set of original bios lol.
