I was the same problem, with the same writer and DJ. (Illegal field in command description block)
The problem finish when I reinstalled the windows.
I suppose that the problem is related with some driver or dll, or .... (????)
Provisionally you can use WinOnCd, or combination of DJ (to read and create disk image) + cdirip (to convert image) + Cdrwin (to write)
