I havent tried imports yet so i was wondering about that.
Its always good to ask rather than trial and error. Its the error part i dont like.

You may want to invest in a mod chip so you can do the same. Check out the untimate sticky in this forum. It should help in your quest. If you post the version PS2 you have, we may be able to recommend a mod that suits your needs. Dont know of any mod installers in Japan though, so that will be another question you may need answered unless you know your way around a soldering iron a bit. You may also want to read the Mod Chip sticky as well. That will help you out too.
