I got a response from EMI. They told me what to do and I got the firmware installed, but the device still doesn't work. It says the hard disk should be reformatted automatically? It didn't do that for me. I can't even turn the crumpy thing off. I have to remove the battery pack to get it to turn off. The only time it shows anything besides "MP3/WMA JUKEBOX" is when the USB is connected.
The firmware does show up on the top layer of the "CHD500" drive in My Computer, however, which suggests that it wasn't taken. the other firmware was invisible to the computer. Will this information be of any service?
