Hmmm this sounds strange. I think I remember something about the Ethernet only network adapter having some problems. Which one do you have?
Also is the barracuda (Seagate barracuda 120GB RIGHT?!) the one that you turned off in the middle of formatting the first time, or is this a new one. If you can’t get HDloader to format the drive, I would take lufc's advice and try DMS3's format tool. You can find it here
