LED stands for light emitting diode if you didn’t know, and if you also didn’t know a diode will only allow current to flow in one direction so if you hook it up the wrong way...no light. Now with EL wire there is actually an inverter that converts the DC power to AC thus it must be hooked up to + and - correctly.

Ah! I knew about the LED abreviation, same used in computers.
Course, there are points specifically for them so I just took for granted, they were like regular lights. Thats good basic info to know. I have never worked with EL wire though so I just learned something new. Kewl Thanks Sped
