A normal fixed exe got the protection removed but you (might) need the CD "available" to play. Of course, the file not "virgin" anymore so if there is a CRC check by i.e online server, the check will fail
A virtual crack still run by the crack BUT if it gets checked it will route the check(s) to the original exe and you're ready to wreak havoc
No CD required also...
