1. You need to turn of MESSENGER. It's a service that is set to automatically load with Windows by default. Go to Control Panel>Admin Tools>Services and scroll down to messenger, right click and chose properties. Startup type to disabled.
2. You may have some sort of Spyware/AdWare on your HDD, use tools such as PestPatrol, SpyBot or Hijack
