LOL, its in no way a comparison, to compare a PC to a console game. The PC has almost limitless upgradability, while a console is intensionally held back so the vendor can profit from any addon features, (eg. eye cam, RAM packs, mem cards)

Now what I intend to assemble is a doit yaself Carpet PC.

First buy a metal rack box from Tandy's/Radio Shack or **** Smith at about 14" x 16" approx.
Then get a microATX board (K7 Tritan for me) fit to case.
Add a 400w powers supply to the rear of this tiny case (most boxes have vents).
Fit all the bits that you'd normaly fit' lol, and make sure you buy a video card with TV out.
All the front panel stuff can be easily rigged with LED's and use one of the many front box panels available - or a blank one and cut your CD and USB slot's out.
Walah! an Xbox that has so much more.
Then I can have all my fav games up on my big TV in da lounge.
