ok, i did this and it worked for me. do this,
extract the bootbins (1st_read.bin, 2_dp.bin, maigo.bin, sg_dpldr.bin) from your working cd of ssf2x. put them in the 'data' folder
extract the IP.BIN from the cd with megalexxx's tool. i (forgot the name of it).
put the IP.BIN in the 'selfboot' folder.
in the 'data' folder, right-click 1st_read.bin. select COPY.
in the 'selfboot' folder, put the cursor on the background and right-click>PASTE. a copy of the 1st_read.bin should now be in the selfboot folder. right-click the 1st_read.bin and select, properties> uncheck READ-ONLY. click OK.
BINHACK that 1st_read.bin in the 'selfboot' folder. type, 1st_read.bin>ip.bin>11700
delete the 1st_read.bin in the 'selfboot' folder.
now, you are all set. make an .iso out of the 'data' folder. when its done, IPINS the data.iso with the IP.BIN.
if you haven't done it already, burn the audio.raw, then the data.iso. when its finished, load the cd in your dc. i did exactly these steps and it worked for me. if it doesn't work for you, then i don't know what else to try. maybe its the new music files..a file check protection...maybe???
