Things people seem inclined to HIDE!

I am in your shoes. I just got into this and I can tell you the newbie support is lacking, however that is expected. Just so you know what you are getting into.

FACTS:
1) On average it takes 10-24 hours to RIP ONE SINGLE GAME. At that point YOU STILL ARE NOT DONE.

2) It is a very involved task taking that ripped data and converting it into a format capable of BEING EXECUTED on a DC AND fitting on a single 700MB CD.

3) It is also more hard work to make that CD self bootable.

Bottom line, if you don't already have a sound knowlege of LBA conversion, how CD-rom burners operate and their various writing modes, and a good handle on DOS, you would be best suited buying the games already CD-R'd for about $8-$10 U.S. a piece.

I am not discourageing you in any way or saying it is impossible. Just that without a good pair of glasses, relying on this side to completely guide you from start to finish may prove to be disappointing.

I think once you successfully burn 1 game, then you will find this forum has a wealth of knowlege to refine your backup methods.
