Question Punkbuster Review

Okies peeps, it's been a while since I posted on the Punkbuster topic.
Here's the update - I tried to use the cd image idea but ran into all sorts of problems getting the (shareware) software to work. Then I found that the latest NOCD actualy worked! but not on all servers - (also needs to be installed by server owner) - so I just stumbled around the servers and wrote down the ones that did work. When I finally accepted the fact that I had to return to using my original BF1942 play disk, and RtR disk, to play on my local servers, it was too late! ****I have been Ip banned on my favorite local servers**** And there is no way of removing the ban according to the Punkbuster group, that's it - tough luck!

Now, If enough people were to complain to the creators of PB about our rights to protect our original disks from damage, then this anti-cheat developer would have to work at the problem. I sent an email to thier tech support admin (only available email) but recieved no reply. Probably just thought I was a cheater or a software thief. It sucks, I have my originals right here in front of me!

Next week I'm thinking of getting BF-Vietnam. But should I spend my ass breaking pay on software that I might not be able to play online, because of some other companies software? I just don't see why I should have to use my originals, they stay unscratched and 'as-new' if I leave them up on the shelf.

I know we need to combat the game cheaters but surley there is a way to allow the NOCD's to function!

I think this is an issue that needs more opinions*
Should an outsider software developer have complete control over the game that you just purchased?????

Post away guys.
