Germany got a very strict protection of minors, and the game is really bloody, with dying animations including severed limbs etc.
And it's only rated "12 years and above" (we have another rating system than you: all < 12 & above < 16 & above < 18 & above ).
Don't understand this, I always loved playing US game versions because of the extensive gore (SoF & SoF 2, for example)

Censored by the publisher, yes. The gore is not in the US version.
