Zelos, what kind of clicking sound ? a buzzing sound or a click...click.. click sound ? I would take out the chip and use a magnifying glass on the bios pins.. and the cd/dvd chip ( I,G,H,D,B,C,A ) make sure you hve no bridged solder on these pins. Test a original ps2 game.
