Sorry for the delay folks but heres the 2nd part of my test.
Fitted my last Apple3 into a v9 this evening & the results were exactly as expected. 100% boot rate 100% of the time both from the browser and by tapping reset.
I will admit to having been baffled when I realised there is no point '6' on the v9 diagram (take a look at the v7 diagram
www.apple-chip.com then again at the v9 & you'll see what I mean). Once you realise that's what the jumpers are for, everything becomes crystal clear.
With 21 wires (+ colour fix) & only 5 to the via's (I think we are all happy with the via's now so they're irrelevent) the Apple3 boots just as well as the Messiah2 with less wires & considerably less cost!
I'll stick with the Duo's for v3-8 but this is 'one chip fits all' & I think will become very popular over the next few months.
