You're right...this isn't a crack.
But it is very wrong to post that file. That file contains copy protected material and should not be distributed.
What this thread SHOULD be about is teaching people how to use their OWN legal copy of BF1942 to create their own mountable image.
Now, I've never heard of 'Mir' for making images smaller, so I think if somebody would just delete that link, or close this thread, and teach everybody how to create their own small, mountable image, we'd all be much happier (and smarter even
