If the game is 4.8 GB then it is too big. Standard DVD-R media only holds 4.7 GB of data. There is a way however to reduce the size of the game that you are trying to copy. First, copy the game to your hdd. There, you should take out stuff that you dont need, like CMGs and dummy files. But only reduce the game enough to fit on the dvd, dont reduce it any more than you have to. Then burn the game to the dvd. And yes most modchips will play DVD-RW, but I have no knowledge of the type of modification of which you speak.
