If would use a no-solder mod before i used the lid.BTW the owner of PS2OWNZ.com, Z or whatever he calls himself, invented the flip lid and is VERY biased. He bans any negative feedback on it as well as the person that posted it.Newbie's come here for advise yet rarely take it. If you want hassle free booting buy a no-swap chip and stay away from this crap. It really doesnt cost that much more.
