The best way to overcome this problem, is to get a mod chip.
A mod chip allows you to play imports and backup games.
you can get mod chips all over the place
www.modchip.cc i heard are quite good ans ship anywhere.
I recommend the duo chip only 17 wires to solder into your ps2 motherboard.
