I don't have a problem with Ritek as far as burning is concerned. Ritek does a good job with burning, however their die's are NOT very good for archiving or keeping files for a long time. This is a known issue. Manufacturers use Ritek for cost purposes mostly. If you look at each manufacturer, their value (cheap) line is mostly Ritek, CMC, etc... and their PRO or more expensive line is TaioYuden, TDK, or some other better brands. Problem is when you just cannot tell who's manufacturing for which company and unless you buy and use a utility to tell you that, there's no way to test it.
