now i don't think you will like this but here goes assuming that you have a constant download as you said of 56.6[Kbits/sec] (this is highly unlikely that you will get this speed it will be even slower ... but) and you are going to download a normal 650[Mbyte] file (normally the files are larger like 700[Mbyte]++ .... but) if you did the computation you would get the following:

56.6[Kbits/sec]*1000=56600[bits/sec]
650[Mbytes]=650000000[bytes] now 1[byte]=8[bits] so you have really 5200000000[bits] of data.
so 56600[bits/sec]/5200000000[bits]=1.088E-5[1/sec]
invert the answer you get 91872[sec]
next to get hours 91872[sec]/3600[sec] in one hour so you get a whopping

25.5[hours]
that is if your downstream is 56.6[Kbits/sec] the chances are low that you may achieve this so add another 2[hours] of download time roughly.
now on a newsgroup you may get a higher download time

if anything has confused you e-mail me
if you wan to know how fast you are downloading go to www.toast.net and click on performance test and do the speed test for the TEXT test and see your throughput (throughput is your data rate where data rate is the bits per second you can download)
