Having multi BIOS support is a great option in my opinion.
Lets say you had a chip that only had one memory bank. And you needed to reflash it with a new BIOS so some games or apps would run. And just as EvoX got done erasing the chip and before it has a chance to write the new BIOS the power gos out. Your SOL my friend.

If you had a chip like the X2 and had both banks flashed, you could switch over to bank 2 and boot your XBox back up, switch back to bank one and continue with updating the new BIOS you need.

And the Alladin only has a 256k memory bank. We saw X2 putting out 512k BIOS. They were able to clean it up with their latest release and made it 256k again, but with all the new goodies these BIOSes are doing, 256k BIOS won’t be around much longer, and you will be stuck with an old BIOS.

On top of that, the Alladin is nothing more than a cheapmod on a board. And they cost about $30 and if you spend about $3 to $5 more, you can get an X2. And another thing. The X2 makes it really easy to upgrade later on with their unplugable wire adapters or with their header pin adapter. Just take the old chip out, and put the new one in.

So what dose this all boil down to? Spend the extra few bucks and get an X2.
