You shouldn't have a problem backing up "POTC" using the UDF data burn method, as i've backed that game up flawlessly. Burning games from an 'iso' image is okay, yet the data burn is proven to be more reliable (less coasters). You can try out 'iso' maker 2.0 using the GDFimage, which is the proper MS disc mastering tool. However, i can't tell you where to d/l as it's copyrighted code.
The boot-up time, etc with a data burn game can be a bit slower. However, if you patch a game via craxtion for the media check, there is sometimes a noticable difference in the load/boot-up time timeof the title.
