Yep you need a 1mg BIOS file. Its really easy to do. You mite have to try several different brands of CD-RW before your XBox will read the disks. You can also use DVDs.
You can also buy a X2 programmer from
Xecuter 2 Programmer from the Console Corner for $19.99 USD + S&H to flash your chip. This is was easyer then messing around with burning CDs and what not. On the down side it will take a few days before you get it if you decide you want to order it.
