Well, to make the boot disc compatible with monitor, just use the HEx editor, modify the Boot disc image, using the hex editor. Try to find the IP.BIN of the image by using find SEGA. You will find something like:
SEGA SEGAKATANA
SEGA ENTERPRISES
4261 GD-ROM1/1
JUE 01B9A00
Then u change the 2 char from behind to 1 (If u want it to be vga compatible). From the example that will be
JUE 01B9A10
The boot disc picture wont displayed on the monitor (the pic with reindeer) instead u will have blank monitor. Just wait a while and just open th dc lid and put in the games u want and It will load. That what I did.....
