In theory this might work. But, data transfer would "might" be rather slow depending on the
speed of the modem. As for example a 56k modem is limited in transfer speeds to 56k. That
being 56 K-Bits p/s. 8 Bits being 1 Byte. So to rip lets say Sonic Adventure (1.2 gig or so I hear)
at a rate of 56k would take days. Ripping our own games is an interesting idea however it leaves
issues such as size. Where as most iso's we aquire have (some) audio ripped or converted to
mono. And in some cases FMV ripped out in order for it to fit on a standard 74min or 80min cd.
I myself would be able to convert audio but as for ripping movies from a game is another issue.
All in all I like your idea. But I would rather use a NIC card. Atleast then I could get 10 Mega bit
transfer rates.
