Not necessarily. It happens all the time that you can make an image and use that, yet the cd won't play in the real cd drive. Usually because of incompatibilities between the copy protection and the cd drive in question. Just try A120%, you can download a free timelimited version. Once you have the image made, you can also mount it with the free
Daemon Tools, but try it in A120% first to see if it works.
PS I could try explaining WHY this would work while the real cd rive wouldn't, but I've got a nasty headache and will probably hit the sack after this
