there is only one chip that i've read about that completely removes the ps2 logo and boots all ps2 backups from browser

blue chip AKA NH8 (trying to confuse people with so many f*ckin names)........ it's probably a magic2/3.x clone with some homebrew code added, thus not completely reliable in booting games behind an AR2.
