are you familiar with the echelon selfboot method? that's how i got mine to boot. but with ikaruga, you need these tools to get th plain files and hack the 1st_read.bin,

cdirip
isofix
isobuster/cdmage
hack3

do a search on google if you don't have these tools.

my image of ikaruga uses the 45000 lba trick. it has two audio tracks in the 1st session then the data track in the 2nd.

use cdirip on the image and write down the lba of the data session. it should be 45000. if not, write it down. you should have a new file called, TData03.iso and bootfile.bin. double-click isofix and input, TData03.iso. it will ask you for the data track's lba. should be 45000 or whatever it was, input it when it asks.

now after a few minutes, it will spit out a new file called, fixed.iso. delete TData03.iso. open fixed.iso in isobuster or cdmage and extract the files to the data dir in the echelon selfboot dir.

rename bootfile.bin to IP.BIN. put IP.bin along with ikaruga's 1st_read.bin in the selfboot folder(up one level from the data folder).

run hack3 on the 1st_read.bin

if i remember right,

dos prompt to the selfboot dir,

hack3 1st_read.bin 11702

**change 11702 to your lba after you usually burn the audio.raw. either 11700/11702.***

binhack the 1st_read.bin and then put it back in the data dir.

continue the echelon selfboot method as usual. after burning, pop the cd in your dc and see if it worked.

hope it helps.
