Question

The errors U get denote 2 possible causes:

- Your reader/burner is not compatible with BWAbuilder. What's the brand?????? If U have several CD units, test each one by running BWAbuilder at 8x on a normal DATA CD: if the device is compatible, then the graph will show a smooth parabolic curve.

- The CD protected with Securom also has bad sectors. U can find that out using Nero's 'CDspeed' utility (freeware): run the 'scandisk' test with the 'surface scan' option. On the graph, deliberate read errors (bad sectors part of a protection) will appear as a series of adjacent red squares. Note down the percentage of these red squares (% of CD that's damaged). If the protection combines Securom and bad sectors, then it's normal that DPM and BWA fail on the disk: the read errors prevent them from completing the physical reading - this is a very recent variant of Securom, and today's software is powerless against this new devilry. In that case, the only solution for now is to find a No-CD crack 4 the game...

Unless U try reading with BWA at very low speed, ie. 1x or 2x. And remember, make sure the reading unit is BWA-compatible

-> Be very careful when choosing a crack since recent versions of Securom have "security-triggers" that check for the protection throughout the gameplay. If the crack is only "partial", then the game will freeze during play. The only way to make sure the crack is effective is to complete the whole game from beginning to end...

Viel glück, comrade - you'll need it
