Mmmm.... I never thought cdrom emulation took up many cycles. We're not talking about REAL emulation (of a different cpu type for example) here, just some file block functions. Does it really make such a difference for you ? If you ever did some tests, I'm really interested in the results. I've been using Daemon Tools/Alcohol120% etc. for over two years now and never even thought about any possible extra slowdown. But to each his own I guess.
