Does it give an error message ? If so, what error message ? It seems PotC is not protected (couldn't find any info anyways). In any case if the copy does not work exactly as the original, you did NOT make a 'perfect' copy, not by far. I suggest you make a hard disk image with
Alcohol120% and try mounting that in Alcohol120%. If it works and plays right, you can try writing that image on a cd and see if that works too. If the image doesn't work, you're doing something wrong when making it.
Edit : Ah, so it's safedisc 2. Use the safedisc 2 profile in Alcohol120%, and be advised that most writers do not correctly write safedisc 2 to cdr. This means you usually still need a crack. However, if you make the image right, you will be able to play it from the hard disk, and you can do like me and write the image files themselves to cdr's. It's a step extra, but it will always work.
