I never said your ps2 was a v7, I was just stating facts.
I am POSITIVELY sure you cannot boot DVD-R (much less DVD-RW) on an unmodded ps2 using GS2, I don’t even think a v3 laser can read DVD-RW (burn a movie into a DVD-RW and see if your v3 can play it).
Using GS2 and the card trick will only work on CD-Rs, if you want to boot DVD-Rs using your card trick then you have to buy the swap magic discs (that’s why you get 2 discs, one for CD-Rs and one for DVD-Rs).
