Yes, real life sometimes makes things like making/sending patches a bit difficult, so no worries.
I downloaded the 1.01 English patch from
www.patches-scrolls.com, the NoCD you link to from megagames seems to be for a patch dated 09/29 which is an earlier patch, not the v1.01 patch. I found a few sites that mention it via Google but can't download it. The 1.01 patch appears to be the final patch anyway.
