This is obvious: actually, what I mean by '1:1 copy' is an exact copy
except of course for the ATIP, which is read-only. Thus a CD-R(W) will always be a CD-R(W)

So even a 1:1 copy won't work in a
burner without a background 'ATIP-hiding' prog...
A burner capable of writing into the 'ATIP' area of a CD-R so as to fake it (ie. mark a CD-R as a CD-ROM) would be a most interesting idea indeed, however this would call for perfectly blank CD-Rs, ie. without even an ATIP - such media are not available as yet, at least for the average user...

BTW< BW leaves the .sys file and it is still being used EVEN if its uninstalled, it has to be manually deleted. Then, suddenly, a BW copy won't work in my burner.

Thx 4 the info, for I never knew that - so uninstalling BW does not remove it completely. Interesting indeed...
