onboard sound is infamous for being crap. get a real sound card =P.
well i was having problems too, but no one could help so i helped myself.
i was having all the sameproblems everyone else was having with "Enter the Matrix."
1. Make sure all refresh rate tools are turned off.
2. apply patch.
3. if you are using a no cd crack, get the right one.
4. open the "Matrix.exe" directly or by using a shortcut to it, not by clicking "play" in matrix options because if you do click "play", you will get a Divx error.
i hope this helps you all so you can play your game, because i know when i bought it, it pissed me the hell off because i couldnt play
