That's perfect and exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks.
I also went to this link
http://warmcat.com/milksop/cheapLPC.html to see how I could program the chip from my PC.
I am trying to build the CheapLPC programmer and am stuck. If you read on the site, and go down to the stripboard version of the programmer there are some questions that come to mind. I currently have: the strip board, the IC chip (74HC14), the PLCC socket, the resisters, and diodes. I am not an electrical engineer so I cannot figure out what those three things are at the bottom of his schematics. The purple circle with the gray in the middle, the gray half circle, and the little orange thing next to it. I have no idea what these things are. I also don't understand why and for what purpose there are two different voltages on the right side (+5V and +3.3V)? Also, what do the little circles distributed all around the stripboard stand for (I am talking about the cirlces that are enclosed by another circle)? I think it stands for creating an opening and removing the connect in the copper strip but I do not know.
If anyone out there knows how to build one of these programmers please let me know. Thanks.
