I agree with you totally. I have not heard anything about altering the registry for win 98. The only registry alterations in the previous postings have been about doing it on winxp. Apparently its easy as a point and click in a menu with XP. For those of that use with win98 it is totally opposite as we have NO way of altering the registry that I know of...Even if I could alter it I WOULD NOT recommend it. The win98 registry is an EXTREMELY tricky, unforgiving and in some cases unstable thing that can cause a LOT of grief if a mistake is made(anybody feel like re-installing win98 all over again??), even the more advanced users say it is better to stay away from it.
At any rate, it looks as though windows98 users don't stand a snowballs chance in hell of getting fairlights crack to work (WHY?!?!?...can't anyone make a useable win98 crack like the first one for V1???). Hopefully the messages in this forum will prompt the making of a crack for win98 users.
