Read this please and respond with your opinion. True or false?
Well, after a small conversation i had with a friend of mine today, he insisted that he CAN and that he DOES play backups in his Q panasonic gamecube. So, the normal question i asked him was how?
He said he ripped his original luigi's mansion gamecube disk with CDRWIN not the golden hawk one, the other one, and that he burned the image with discjuggler. And that the game works flawlessly without any kind of modification.
I didnt really believe him until he said that he is gonna send me the rip to try it myself, either by opening my cube or trying the small dvdr media you can find for the camcorders or the ones floating around the net.
I still cannot believe him, cause after numerous searches and posts to other forums about thing whole gc protection stuff i still have to find something like that. And the funny thing is that the pc CAN find something on that small disk, its just that its not readable by any software yet. I dont think that cdrwin is able to do so, even the other one, cause the original golden hawk one, can not, and i think that the newer one still has core similarities with the old one.
Just tell me what you think. I will most probably be able to tell in a week or so, but remember that he is a close friend of mine, and you wouldnt bull me like that, as if i was a small kid, or he is just too dumb thinking i can buy bull**** without research first. So i did the research and i still have to find something.
There is another question i have :
How can tools like the splitter and the sound converter be floating around, if noone has even ripped a gc disk? they just split demo images? and images created by themselves? If so, there must be a sdk floating around, which i will be more than willing to find!
Thanks for any replies.
