over 200 ps2s modded and about 5 went bad. those were version 1, about 120 of them have messiah 2's installed and not 1 p2 has failed yet.
use good media and you will be ok.
the messiah 2s have been installed for about 6 months now, the others have neo 2.2, neo 2.5, and neo 2.6. those systems range from 1-2 years old.
