Open your XBox up and look at the PCB area.
If they are filled you have a Ver.1.0 if they are not, you have a Ver.1.1

I have found no solder ships Don’t really play nice with Ver.1.1s They don’t wanta line up with the D0, so you have to end up soldering it any way.

If you have a Ver.1.1 I would buy the X2 and send you XBox out to get modded.
I would suggest Bill at NEW AGE PSX & X-BOX Service, he dose great work, hes fast and its only $40.
