I'm currently having trouble doing cd-to-cd copying using either CloneCD or Nero. I've been a big fan of CloneCD for some time now since it enables me to at least make back-ups or playable CD's of my original games without destroying the ones which come out of the box.

Case in point of my problem: CnC Generals. I bought the game and tried to do a backup of the play disk, but alas with clonecd v.4.02 it doesn't even display the speed I'm burning with, and almost at least takes an hour to finish! Now there's something wrong there. I have a Plextor 16/10/40A drive, and this process usually takes me 5 mins or so.

I'm operating under WinXP, and still can't figure out why/what is wrong. Could it be that the windows driver for cd-burning is messed up?
