Well boys, finally got her figured out. Little bit of back ground. I got on of the original dcs that came out september 9th. It was always a little flaky on boot up. It got worse and worse and late october this year it stopped booting all original games (that is why I am trying so hard to get my backups to work). My burner would burn copies of copies and self boot games with multiple audio tracks, but crapped on 300 sector audio tracks.
I tried using the cdirip method with isofix and isoextract then burning the iso in cdrwin, but this method burned properly but wouldn't boot (I think because of my dc). I tried the cdi2nero method and this method also burned properly but wouldn't boot (again, prob my dc).
By now I was running out of options. I found a method to make a self boot game into a non-self boot on www.dccopies.co.uk. The instructions were straight forward and allowed me to burn the iso in nero. This method worked great and boots up with the utopia boot disk.
This method should be a last resort because it is a hassle, but it non of the other methods work for you, it worked for me.
I have an iomega zip cd burner
Just wanted to pass on hte good news.
