Like I said, Maplins do an NTSC to PAL convertor. Ignore me if you wish, though!
If you do the Colour Fix in your PS2 (all documented in the Messiah 2 Diags
www.messiah2.com), then forcing PAL out of the PS2 won't cure the 60Hz problem as Dust points out. Your PAL only TV must be capable of resolving 60Hz for this fix to work.
the Maplins box is quite happy with the 50 Hz. TV. You plug it in for NTSC games and unplug it for PAL games. dead simple.
