I did not use my old HDD. I had the new one in before i soldered the chip in. I have no idea where to go, or what to do, as of right now, my xbox is a paperweight!!!! I waited 2 weeks for this chip, and this is what it does,,,nothing!!! This is an xecuter 2 lite chip, and the very first time i turn the machine on with the chip inside, i get this "Xbox Linux Clean BIOS 1.8" bull**** I'd like to hear more opinions before I do anything else.
