You may be able to get a little more time out of your laser if you use Charlie_PS2's guide
here. All you will need to do it correctly is a continueity meter. The adjustment can be done blindly and will get you more time but will totally fry your laser quicker than if done properly. With any luck you may get up to a year out of your laser still.
